FAQs

What do you specialise in?

I’m a professional interior and architectural photographer with over 15 years of experience capturing beautiful spaces across London, the South West, and internationally. I work with interior designers, architects, developers, property agents, and hospitality brands creating imagery that highlights design, light, and atmosphere.

Where are you based and do you travel?

I’m based in the South West of England, but I regularly shoot in London and across the UK. Travel is never a problem as I work on destination projects and international shoots. If you have a location in mind, I can make it happen.

Every project is different, so I always provide a tailored quote based on your specific needs. the size of the space, number of images required, shoot duration and intended usage. As a guide, my packages start from a half-day shoot with 25 professionally edited images. Get in touch with your project details and I'll come back to you quickly with a clear, itemised quote.

Natural light is key to great interior photography but not essential as I’m skilled in flash photography and creative lighting. If the weather looks tricky, we can reschedule or adjust the plan to capture your space at its best. However unless the forecast is looking very dark and stormy, I always stay flexible and creative. Even cloudy days can look amazing with the right approach.

Why hire a professional interior photographer?

Professional photography doesn’t just make your space look great, it helps you stand out online, attract new clients, and enhance your brand. Great images build trust and engagement across your website, social media, and press features.

What should I look for when hiring an interior photographer?

The most important things are consistency of style, technical competence in handling light, and genuine experience working in your sector — whether that's residential interiors, commercial spaces or hospitality. I'd also look at whether their work has been published in respected titles, and whether they have testimonials from clients like yours. Experience with award submissions is a bonus, as these have specific image requirements.

How do I prepare my home or space for an interior photoshoot?

The key things are decluttering, cleaning thoroughly, and removing anything personal that you wouldn't want in published images — family photos, paperwork, cables. I'll help with final styling tweaks on the day, adjusting furniture, props and lighting to get the best compositions. For a full preparation guide, just ask when you book and I'll send you my pre-shoot checklist.

Can you help with magazine submissions and editorial features?

Yes, I regularly photograph projects specifically for editorial submission and I understand what different publications are looking for. I can advise on which images to prioritise for a press pack and how to pitch your project to magazines. My work has appeared in over 40 titles including Sunday Times Style, Period Living, country life, Dezeen, Grand Designs, Condé Nast Traveller and more.

Do you photograph projects for RIBA and other award submissions?

Absolutely. Award photography has specific requirements around image resolution, composition and coverage, and getting it right can make a significant difference to how your submission is received. I've photographed numerous projects for RIBA award submissions, the Homebuilding & Renovation Awards, the Bath Property Awards and other competitions. If you're planning a submission, it's worth discussing the brief in advance so we can plan the shoot accordingly.
